Maladaptive Daydreaming: where wild minds come to rest
Do you find that when you have not daydreamed as much, or as in depth as usual, that when you finally daydream you most likely binge. I mean daydreaming for hours or days. If so, have you noticed that once you get back on track with your daydreaming after being deprived of it cause of circumstances in reality that...once you come out of the deep, or long daydream you feel high? Not just any high, but a high as…

This is gonna be one of those blogs ha! Is there any one out there that is always dding? Meaning do you always have a scene, beat, song, or character in your head every second of the day? If so is it hard sometimes to focus on what you are doing in reality since you are constantly dding? Do you find that when you are focusing on both worlds and inside both worlds simultaneoulsy, that your focus on the fantasy world is less or more…

Probably this fantasy boyfriend of mine came about from years of feeling alienated and lonely. I also felt a deep lack of intimacy in most of my relationships so I spent more time in my head with this fantasy boyfriend instead of reaching out to real people.
I've been doing this for years. Anyone have any advice on how to stop daydreaming about him?
Usually it happens when I'm bored at work and especially at night before I go to bed.

I've been living by myself for 4 months now and at the beginning I was responsible and would do all house and college tasks as they would appear. Now that my exams have started I have been having a really hard time concentrating. Yesterday i've spent the most part of the day daydreaming, sleeping and going back to daydream even though I knew I had a really hard and important test today.
The test is 1 hour and 20 minutes from now and I still havent been able to focus to learn…

Slightly unrelated but I feel it's led to an increase in my daydreams.
I was in a relationship about a month ago, with a woman 13 years older than me. Some may call that creepy, others may say it's fine. I personally felt a degree of security and actually felt protective over this person like any boyfriend would. However, my darling mother, like clockwork waded in there and started prying and judging and needless to say the whole situation went collateral. My mum and me had a…

Also, there's a naked bike ride every year that includes thousands of naked bicyclists riding through downtown. The police let the law about covering genitalia in public slide. I stay away from the windows on that night. However, they recently arrested a man for playing…

Are any of you reading this multi passionate people? Are you very indecisive? Personally I don't think that having multiple passions is a bad thing, it just tends to drive you crazy at times ha! In fact, I am actually struggling on how to showcase, or even should I showcase all of my passions on wildminds? On the other hand I think it would just be easier if I created my own website to shows all the different sides of me. If I do the latter then I could really set up design, color etc the…

So yesterday I was on and off wildminds for a while. During which time I read discussions and blogs by other members who have other conditions as well as MDD. For some reason this got me to thinking about something else that I have been doing for years. So I googled something like..."people who see shapes, patterns, figures in objects", and pressed enter. What do you know two terms actually came up in the search..."Pareidolia and Apophenia." I only searched a little yesterday and a little…

We've had a couple of spammers on here today, so please look out. They usually say the same thing, that they like your profile and asking you to email them. DON'T EMAIL THEM. It's a trick. I've never heard of anything bad happening afterward, so there's probably no need to panic. You might get on a scam spammer list. I wish I could prevent them from joining, but I don't know who's a spammer until they start spamming. All I can do is delete them when I catch them.
In the…

Why is it when you act or speak differently from most people, it is the common thought that it must mean that you are stupid and as such must be directed or talked down to. I especially see this at work. I tend to be not so much antisocial as I have a great problem fitting in anywhere. I'll be the first to admit that I'm sociall awkward. Maybe that has fed into my daydreaming. Maybe not, since I've been doing it for as long as I remember. I do know it has made it so I don't actively seek out…

I work in an extremely stressful environment and I've been in it for a long time. I honestly think that this has happened because of stress. There are other life events that have happened and so my MDD. As no life is without stress I wonder if I will ever get better.

I'm not religious and I've never been, I have completely different vision of life, impossible to combine with Christianism, catholic or orthodox (in my country it should be the Orthodox church). I've never understood how one could really think that there is God that one doesn't see, but feels. This year I discovered My Personal God.
I discovered that feelings that I have for Me (idealized) are simular to what some religious people have for their Gods. I think that this…
ContinueFor those of you who do not know, I am fifteen. I'm a Freshman in high school (9th grade). The year is ending soon, and my Science teacher was nice enough to create an incredibly easy project for his students instead of making us take a final. Technically, it's against the rules, but he's retiring after this year, so he can't get in trouble. Anyway, he gave us a project as a final. The project required us to make a PowerPoint pretending we are in our 60's, in the year 2064, and to…

I haven't logged in for a long time. No change or actually change but for the worse. I have the most fickle point of view and feelings when it comes to my "conditions" ...
I am in my world 90 percent of my day if feels like unless I watch TV. I cannot imagine getting back out in the working world like this.
I even went to a therapist and she was like "What?" When I mentioned MDD to her. I told her it wasn't official in the books but you'd think she would have heard…

I dreamed of the ballet and woke up feeling hopeful. I'd bet physical exercise, like a sport of some kind would be just the thing. It would link the mind back to the body.

So my MDD is primarily related to relationships.
I have this thing where I MUST be infatuated with someone. Otherwise I just feel empty.
So I've basically been in love with several someones (three at a time, at most) for the past ten years or so.
Is anyone else like this?

Spent the afternoon in the sunlight keeping company with two religious figures and the ghosts of Goetia. Reduced myself to tears and I can't remember why. Maybe I needed a cigarette. My pen pal says it's the writing process.
No wonder I can't get much done.

it may look weird but still it a fruitful way to stop md. paste your rooms with thoughts and lessons or sometimes incidents written on bold letters on ceiling or opposite wall. make sure the most importent lesson that you have learned in your life is visibe when lie in your bed and trying to control mind .the most importenty the things which you wish to to do or your secret goals are visible .you can try putting different wallpapers that helps you control your mind .when you so badly…
