Hello guys and girls, I would like to share one positive new: my daydreaming has reduced drastically.

One important thing: I'm taking Olanzapine and Lorazepam for therapy so this may be also effecting the reduction of my daydreaming.

I'm living a phase of my life in which I'm concerned and concentrated about my future, especially with my girlfriend since we are trying to buy a house for our own, something not easy since we are both seasonal workers; because of this I'm paying no attention to my past hobbies such as playing videogames and reading, and I'm trying to not spend most of my time alone doing nothing or at least trying to do something productive for myself. Here comes the crucial point: I try to spend most of the time with my girlfriend when I'm not busy and staying with her give a sense to my time and, having finally a sense, I spend way less time in daydreaming since the MD was the very sense of my time!

Hoping that this could help you, my advice is: do something that satisfy you constantly in the time and spend, if you have the possibility, your time with the people you care most, even without doing nothing in their presence.

Dear @Martino thanks for this amazing news!
I agree completely: finding a sense, a purpose, anything that feels truly satisfying is the very solution to maladaptive daydreaming.

It's amazing seeing someone sharing something so positive! Thanks 🩵

You're welcome @Valeria, I'm glad to help and/or inspire fellow daydreamers in this platform!

I agree also, finding your purpose in life and having someone to share, help and support you in it is awesome!!

It is very hard trying to walk through deliverance from MD all by yourself, because in making small decisions you can easily overthink, and that can cause anxiety, fear and more insecurity. But , even when communication skills are lacking , due to MD , and you are not able to communicate effectively with others, just having someone standing with you, to support you ,really makes all the difference in life!

I think it’s just great

I will keep you and your girlfriend in my prayers 🙏🏼.
Blessings
