Maladaptive Daydreaming: where wild minds come to rest
Sorry, I know I use this website a lot for un MD related things but I like the fact that I can talk to a range of people and get a wide variety opinions on things, so I might as well use it to my advantages :).
So in 10th grade at my school we have to do something called the personal project, and basically you have to work on a project of your choice for a little over half a year, and it has to produce some sort of outcome or physical result. Some typical projects are composing a song or writing a book or doing a research on a topic of your interest.
At this point I am completely stumped. I just really don't want to be the girl who has nothing and everyone else already has a project idea. I want my project to be interesting and memorable, something I'm really proud of. But like I said before I hate all of the ideas I've come up with. I was wondering if you could post what you would do if you had to do this project? it can be anything your interested in, it doesn't have to follow mine.
but here is what i've thought of doing/am interested in:
medicine - public health, tropical diseases, immunolgy demographics of tropical diseases, how malaria has changed over time.
sports
i've been told i have a natural talent in art, so i really wouldn't mind having an artistic outcome.

Being a computer buff, I would do the project on something IT related. For example, maybe try to build a web app or make an online game.
I would suggest you do a project on the topic of art and disease. Here are some links that may get your creative juices flowing:

Why not do a project on MD? I understand if it's too personal for you, but you could always say that you just read an article about it or something. There are some links with info on the Links page. Whatever you choose to do, good luck on your project. I'm sure you'll come up with something great.
