Lost in the maze of my own mind
I couldn’t grasp that all wasn’t real
It was so sweet that I didn’t want to leave
I didn’t want the truth to surface

I want to drown

Drown in this false reality of mine

The shadows dance to my story
I chased the shadows

From walls to walls in the maze

All was sweet, so sweet

I didn’t want to leave

I reached for the shadows
only to find the solid walls

Cold and distance

They were never there
All was just images

Spun inside my head

You just inspired me to write me own poem. :-)
Maybe I'll post it if it turns out to be good.

Wow. This is a really good poem. I can definitely relate to what you said. The scary thing is I could have related to this the most when I was as young as 8. That was when my MD was actually at its worst. This poem kind of takes me back, but not in a good way... I think this describes the MD experience very well. It really captures how MD kind of lures you in, and when you finally realize that you're trapped in a nightmare it's too late.

I love this "

I want to drown

Drown in this false reality of mine"

Excellent stanza.
