OK, this is basically just a thread where you can put any weird habits you have in a list (if you have that many) and then see if other people have the same/similar things to you.

WARNING: By the time I've typed all my weird habits, the scroll bar at the side will probably be too small to even see. So good luck scrolling down ;  )

  • I have a 'lip thing' that I do sometimes. It's hard to describe, but basically, with my toprow of teeth, I bite the bottom of my bottom lip and slide them up it, then with my bottom row of teeth I bite the top of my top lip and slide my teeth down. I do this twice, then do the same thing with my bottom lip and of row of teeth, but only once.  TNohen I do the same thing, but vice versa, so first once with my bottom teeth and top lip, then twice with my top teeth and bottom lip, then with my bottom teeth and top lip. I will often do this a few times in a row, but I always have to finish using my bottom teeth and top lip. I can do this whole thing once in 3.5 seconds, without even thinking about it.
  • I have the world's weirdest sleeping position. I have to sleep without my head on the pillow. Instead I tuck the duvet under my head, to hold it still, then I have my left fist holding the part of the duvet that's by my mouth so that my fist covers my mouth is I'm sleeping omn my left side, and vice versa for my right side. If I am DDing my 'fetishy DDs' and I am lying on my right side, I will tuck the duvet between my legs (but still in the position I mentioned above) but only if I'm on my right side.
  • When I am thinking/DDing about my fetish or something awkward, I have to cross my legs. I don't know why, but I do.
  • This is technically a weird phobia, but I am terrified of a certain type of flying insect that I can't even stand to type the name of. I don't mind if other people type it, but I can't type it myself, and I wouldn't be able to look at a picture of it. I can't make myself type the name of it, but here are 2 clues about it: 1) One of its names has 2 words to it, the first word is the name of a vechile used on a buillding site that begins with 'c' (and it's not car), the second word is 'fly'. 2) The other of its names is 3 words, the first word is what young children normally call their father, the second word is the opposite of short, and the last word is 'legs'. When 2 of these insects got into my room when I was younger, after they were gone,  that is what caused me to develop my sleeping position that I mentioned above.
  • I have several places on my body that I don't like being touched, or that hurt when pressure is put on them, but shouldn't. (or maybe they should, and I'm just being ignorant of that fact < P) The first is my shoulders, I am really uncomfortable with anyone touching my shoulders apart from my parents. Even when a guy who I had a crush on put his hands on my shoulders, I was so uncomfortable. I also have similar feelings about my shoulder blades, but not as severe. If pressure is put on the place where my right thigh joins my waist, it hurts. I discovered this when I was sitting down and my Nan's dog jumped on me and put her paw there. I had to move her paw, I couldn't stand it. I haven't actually ever had anyone touch my neck, but the thought of it makes me... urgh. My 'neck thing' is sort of similar to what I've mentioned below.
  • Certain things make me feel really weird. I can't really describe it but, say someone was sticking the point of  a pencil in the carpet, I would just feel... weird, like the carpet was feeling pain through me. We once had to do something like this in my Year 5 class, we were measuring rooms and we had to stick pencils in the carpet to mark where we'd measured, I just felt...urgh.
  • If I bang into something, for example I bang into my radiator when I'm pacing, I will always apologise to the object and body part that I banged. It's a habit from when I was younger and my over actie imagination thought that objects could feel pain and emotions, so I would be careful so that the objects didn't want to get me. Lol. I still sometimes think weird things like that might, just might, be true. But when I apologise to objects and parts of my body, it's mainly out of habit.
  • This isn't really a habit, but it always seems like Ready Salted crisps taste better if you eat more than one at a time, and very quickly. For every other flavour, it's vice versa.
  • Even if I'm not depressed or have no reason to be sad, I always find it easier to write poems about break ups or losing your best friend or something like that. Most of the stories I (try to) write have death and/or similar bad things in them.
  • I can be very slow at doing stuff, but whenever I'm walking, sometimes even when I'm ill, everyone is always walking too slow and I have to walk on the spot, sometimes 2 or 3 steps before I actually walk forwards.
  • I am sort of germaphobic, but not all the time. Like sometimes I'm terrified of germs, and sometimes I don't even care if someone has a cold and they sneeze into their hands then touch something I have to touch. Sometimes I'm even germophobic of other people who won't even come near me for about a week. I'm weird.
  • I usually try to avoid wearing a long sleeved top because I might have to wear a long sleeved jacket over the top of it. When that happens, it drives me nuts. Inside, I'm going, AAAAARGHHHHH!!!!!!!
  • This is just a weird thing that I can do; I can 'click' my right ankle, that is, I can make the bone in it move at will.
  • I can't whistle, snap my fingers or do that thing where you pinch your nose shut, breathe in, let go and your nose stays like that. I can flare my nostrils, though, so that's probably why I can't do the last one.

That's it for now, what are your weird habits/things/whatever and are any of them the same as mine? Probably not lol.

I just have one of yours, but i doubt this habbits have any strong relation with MDD
Has anyone ever watched the show, My Strange Addiction? That episode "Woman Eats Husband" is.... o_o Many people on the show have addictions that I've never heard of. It's interesting. xD

@Laila, I've never heard of the show, but I think us MDers should try to get on it. I nominate you. Lol joke. I will, for real life, look that up on Youtube, though.

@TheDreamer, which one? Lol. Yeah, probably not, but I was bored and felt like typing when I made this, plus I felt like showing my weirdness off to the world.

@James, my friend has an oral fixation as well, I was talking to him and I asked him if he chewed his pen and he said yeah. I asked him if he likes chewing and he said yeah. He also has a rubber watch that he keeps in his pocket, just for chewing. Your name wouldn't happen to actually be Reese, would it? Lol.

@Riley (I think it was you who said this) I am also a bit trypophobic, I just never realised it before. I Googled trypophobia and clicked on the 3rd site from the top. When I saw the images I nearly screamed and felt like I was about to puke. Especially when I looked it up again just now to check the website and realised that the pictures were real. I think. I don't recommend that anyone who is trypophobic goes to this website, but if you are one of the people who, like me, can't stop looking, or you want to read the article (although I doubt it's accurate, I couldn't read it properly because of all those freaky pictures O_O) Here's the link: http://trypophobia.net/

Ugh, my skin is itching now.

*I double the number one over and over again. I am quite good at adding in my head when it comes to doubling one, other than that though I cannot add in my head at all.

*I carry a fisher price bear everywhere with me (except inside certain stores or school. Sometimes I bring her to stores in my purse). Her name is Blonde Bear.

*Sometimes my shoulders/neck/head/arms have a spastic twitch.

*When I get excited I get very tingely and twitchy. Often I make incontainable squeals or whines of anticipation.

*I put my hands in fists and rub them together. Sometimes I do it too much and my fingers start to bleed.

*I dress in steampunk or dieselpunk clothing daily.

*I wear a gas mask often.

*I hate chips. Especially potato chips.

*I can't eat certain foods if they aren't prepared right. For example, I can't eat a sandwhich that isn't cut into triangles or I can't eat a roll if it has ( even the slightest ) amount of any sauce on it, unless I planned on eating the bread dipped in the sauce.

*I have a strange gait.

*I cannot jog. I have no idea how one jogs.

*I bite the flesh off my gums and lips.

*Certain things make me freak out. If we are driving at night and there is a car with bright lights behind us I start to panic. It makes me panic even more if my parents are talking while the music is playing. Also if someone sat in my eighth grade lunch seat, I would become enraged, and have to restrain myself from leaping over the table and attacking them.

I think that people can hear my thoughts too! I didnt know it was this common... Oh and what pets do you have?

You too?!? I thought I was alone and crazy with that... I know that
It's ridiculous and all to think that but I just can't help it. Like
Today for example I thought my friend John was reading my
Mind for some reason and so I thought something crazy and weird to get a reaction
But all he did was twitch his hand haha...

wow. I've had trypophobia forever but I never knew it was a condition, much less had a name!

Forgotten if I've said these already, sorry if I have:

  • If I bang against something or walk into it, I apologise to the object and the body part, for example, if I kicked my radiator (something I sometimes do while pacing) I would say "Sorry radiator, sorry foot.". If I sa I hate something or insult it I say to that object something like "Well, I don't hate you..." or "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean that, I just meant... " The ... shows "blahblahblahblahblah". I say this out loud.
  • When I learn new facts, if there are numbers I will end up doing a sum with them, or I might end up doing an anagram with the words, turning them upside down to see if they have a subliminal message or read them backwards.
  • When someone tells me their birthday is next week, rather than thinking about what to get them, I try to work out their star sign. Obsession with astrology.
  • I say random things. A few months ago I said "Atlases are useful for stalking people who come from the other side of the world." when I was obsessed with a sort of celebrity who came from Australia. i was trying to find where he lived. Lol. Today, I said, "Every fire deserves to burn." but changed it to "Every GOOD fire deserves to burn." when my friend, E, decided to ask if it would deserve to burn if it was my house or my family. He also decided it was a good idea to throw water over me. One of my other friends, G, decided it was a good idea to throw water over him. Hooray for G! Me, G and E got soaked, while my friends M and P stood calmly at the side laughing.
  • I go on and on and on. A LOT. Although I don't suppose anyone's noticed that. Especially not after reading the bullet point above...
  • I like to laugh at my sarcasm and my reactions to stuff. The most notable aspect of my sarcasm is when I say "Well that's nice to know!" when something is boring or disgusting.
  • I sound oddly posh at times. Which is weird, because no one in my family talks posh, or in my classes. Well, one person does, but I don't talk to her much.
  • I like to study people's eyes. Normally, I look at my eyes in the mirror, because people find it creepy if you stare into their eyes. However, I have looked at my family's eyes as well. Both me and my dad have bluey grey eyes, and they have wobbly sort of circles around the pupil that gets lighter tomwards the outside of the iris. My brother and my mum have eyes that are blue grey but have a very light brown/orangey sort of colour in there as well. You know how on most people's eyes there are sort of lines coming out from the pupil and in between there are spaces? Well some of that space is the brown/orange colour, the rest of it is blue grey. I got a good look at my friend's eyes today, because she's one of the people who tends to look at you pretty much all the time when you're talking. She has darkish blue for the main eye colour but she has little specks of light blue in there that look like her eyes are sparkling. I almost opened my mouth to tell her, but since she was talking about carol concerts I didn't think it was the best time for that. Another girl in my form has proper blue eyes that make her look really excited when she smiles because they glow. I won't bore you with more descriptions, but I do have quite a few.
  • I like to find out things you can do with your body. That's not meant to sound wrong, but I mean I like looking up things like rolling your tongue, then seeing if I can do it (yes). I like trying to dilate my pupils in the mirror (one of me and my brother's many 'ways of wasting time in the bathroom') and clicking my ankle (and then making people feel it, their reactions are priceless!). I also like to do things such as try and make myself  yawn (which you do by closing your mouth without air in it and not breathing through your nose, it helps to think of someone yawning) and I can stop myself from having to sneeze. Not the most useful thing in the world, but oh well. It's a secret skill! < P lol
  • I think about stuff you do without thinking about it, like how often do you actually realise you're breathing? And when you're walking a long way, you don't think about each step, you legs just do it.
  • When I become obsessed with a band or singer I find all their songs and type them in on YouTube, get up a lyrics video and learn the words!
  • My room is full of random books and similar things from random obsessions I've had. I have astrology books and my drawings and writings about astrology from that about, astrology books and origami books, paper, random pieces of origami everywhere. I have lots of horse related objects as well. I was once obsessed with phobias, looking up their names and memorizing them, I am currently obsessed with a website called Fanfiction.net.

OK, can't think of any more at the moment.

I kinda have the first one and I have tv in my room and this kinda of beach chiar I have in front of it and when ever I go to bed I have to turn it around and push it as far into the dark as I can to avoid seeing it. When ever I listen to music my bed MUST be PERFECT! I have to have the matress totally strait (sometimes it gets out of place because when I'm pacing sometimes I through myself into the bed and it gets messed up.) The pillows have to be totally perfect and the comforter totally perfect before I can sit on my bed and lisnen to music. I also HAVE to have my lef tleg crossed over the right once and then my left foot wraps around my right leg while I'm sitting down in a chair. I only type with two fingures XD always have and always will. I type pretty fast though :) here's a REALLY weird one, ya know how when people eat a lot of sugar they get sugar rushes and stuff? When ever I havnt had anything to eat in a while I act like I'm totally drunk! Ill through things like water bottles and stuff and ill be laughing so hard. But when I eat sugar, I calm down. Its weird. I also have a 'way' that I brush my hair. Its the same way every time. First ill brush the left side, then the right, then the back, then the left and right again. I also like to suck on metal. I always have a necklass chian on my so I can suck on it. I also like to suck on spoons! There the best! Also when ever I eat chips, I have to go into my daydream world and walk around and pace and talk while I'm eating eat because my charecters are very weird and lazy. I also like to chew on my hair and twirl it in my finger till its really stiff and hard and then I let go and start the process again. That's all the weird stuff I can think of right now. I'll be back when I think of more.

I have to take 120 steps when the teabag soaks in the tea.
I have to count to 240 when i brush my teeth, 120 when I brush my lower and 120 for the upper.
Chewing noises annoy me, even my own. Eating with family or just alone is hard. I have to listen to music, have the tv on or read something to get myself distracted from the chewing. Or i just have liquids.
People touching their faces annoy me.
I can't read a book unless my room is organized.
I'm slightly a germaphobe.
I'm obsessed with my thighs not touching.
I have a certain order i do things when I shower. Wash face, hair, condition hair, shave, wash my body, rinse. If i do not do them in that order I have to start over. Doesn't happen often but sometimes if I'm in a rush.

Can't think of anything more that would be weird.

I flip a piece of lanyard back and forth when I dd.

Hey aldexandra, I have to organize my room first before reading my book too! Oh my goodness!
