Do you ever have light daydreams? When you don't concentrate that much on the daydream?

Where you're able to do stuff in real life (talk with friends) while at the same time lightly ponder a daydream. Your head is still attuned to the real world, but you're technically daydreaming too.

Yes, I do this all the time.  It allows me to get done whatever needs to be done, and carry on relationships.  Then when I'm alone, I switch into full drive.
After 31 years with MD, this is how I spend most of my daydreams and most of my life.  I'm constantly going in and out of daydream throughout the day.  Daydreaming on its own isn't enough to keep my attention.  I'm always daydreaming while doing things.
I do this too.  Though sometimes when I'm having a conversation with someone, I have to get them to repeat it. I always feel so bad when that happens since it usually results in them asking me if I was even listening to them. But I can't help it. It's been this way for so many years.
I used to be able to do whatever and have the DD running in the background but now it demands more attention. I find myself rushing to do things so I can get back to the DD.
