We can set Targets , deadlines, certain hours , writing task , creativity task , funny tasks like : MDD about telling jokes LOL !

Anybody has any suggestion ,Plz don't hesitate to add it . it's not enough to read the post and the comments , you really have to participate if u need to Stop DD

That's great!  Be sure to tell her that real doctors have studied it, and it's been written about in Scientific American Mind.  It's being studied right now, in fact.

I saw a psychologist today. She evaluated me to see what careers I might do best in. I volunteered to do this so my potential jobs don't know anything about it.  The experience was refreshing. I told her about Maladaptive Daydreaming. She actually listened to me and said there was hope for my situation.

Yes, I did mention to her that it's being studied and I asked her to look into it, which she said she would. This visit was just to help me with career options but I asked if she could be my regular therapist and she agreed. She won't see me until January. That will give her time to better understand MD before I start sessions with her.

Happy Thanksgiving! I've reached 1 week now and I'm not dying to daydream again!

Things that are helping.

•Exercise (the hikes)

•Daily moments of silence to think about the benefits of reality. Reasons to not daydream.

• Socializing

• Getting adequate sleep

That's great!  :)  Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi All

Just checking in, how are your best efforts going? Anyone got new stuff to share?

I think I've been MDDing less, but strangely enough my dreams (as in my sleeping dreams have become much much more vivid) it could just be a symptom of stress.

Hi faye ,
For me , DAydreams come to me when I stay at home doing nothing . I realized that being exhausted physically is the only way to stop it as my mind feels to tired to think.

Also, I become less stressed , not anxious I feel more energized because of gym , dancing , hourses , my skin and hair looks better LoooL :D . But baaam I have to spend all the day eXercising :'(

But faye , how was ur daydreaming looks before , I mean I've always vivid dreaming if I understood what u say !!???
Good luck buddy :)
@bonne , how was ur experience ...how did that day of jogging and home works went on ??
Good luck, everybody! :-D
