I know I ask a lot of  things in my discussions but I'm curious, what is your biggest trigger? Mine is definitely music, anytime I listen to music I jump up a little while later and begin daydreaming, usually with it still playing from my iHome. Lately now though I use my big over-ear headphones and relax.

oh I forgot showers! I always do it in the shower

Not really anything specific triggers me, it could be anything. But I have noticed when I'm really stressed I rarely DD.

Pop music definitely, especially if I am driving.  Classical music doesn't cause me to MDD which is why I listen to a classical music station while I am in the car.

Pop music is a trigger for me too. I have been listening to some indie music lately like Sally Ford and the Sound Outside and some local Chicago bands and I haven't daydreamed while listening to them.

Mine is definitely music, especially if it's really up-beat and stuff, it gets my so hyped and I can dream for a very long time. Other than that, boredom I guess can also trigger it, or a bad movie.

music, tv, and complete boredom.

In addition to the ones already named, anything beautiful. A new setting, like a park or building with interesting architecture. Not food, but certain smells elicit an emotion that takes me into a daydream.

If I may reply late: music is my second biggest trigger. Movement is my first. I can daydream just fine in total silence, but I need to be moving. It's impossible for me to not daydream on a walk or in a moving vehicle. I pace all the time at home and really any living quarters must have at least one little clear spot where I can pace; if there isn't one, I'll make one.

Is this weird? I don't think I've ever heard of movement being a dd trigger, but it absolutely is for me.

Actually, in the last study done by Dr. Cynthia Schupak and Jayne Bigelsen, they found out that most people enacted some sort of movement, like pacing, while daydreaming.  I don't, but I do daydream whenever I'm doing something monotonous like going for a long walk.  If I paced at home, I would fall on my face.  Lol.  That's just me, though.  I'm clumsy, plus I have 2 cats.  Anyway, what you're describing is completely normal.

Music and Videogames (the second because i create tales -how ironic-)

music and BEAUTIFUL LADIES ; )

Hi everybody,

the same for me: books, tv shows and movies ecc.. Any story is fine for me. Even if a friend of mine tells me about what happened to one of his acquaintance... well, it can inspire me inventing a new part of my fantasy!
