Why My Life is Changing Drastically Update

A day or two ago, I made a blog post about my mom's illness and how we didn't think she'd make it. Here's the update.

Yesterday, they decided to take her off life support at 4pm. I went up to the hospital before they took her off life support and hung with family and went in to see her one last time. They took her off life support at 4pm, and she died at around 10pm. 

It's now official that I'm staying with my mom's best friend, Brooklyne, and her  family. My oldest brother, Ricky, and my Uncle Carl would prefer me to stay with Ricky but they're respecting my wishes to stay with Brooklyne. Tuesday, there will be a...I'm not sure if I should call it a "funeral", but the funeral people will fancy up her body and make it all pretty and we'll see her body one last time and then she'll be cremated and I'll get some of the ashes and the other ashes will go to Texas to be buried, where she was born and raised. 

My mom also did not have a Will. I wish she did, but she didn't. Oh well. 

Brooklyne wants me to start therapy, and I guess I'm okay with that. Brooklyne and her family have accepted me into the family incredibly. They say they want to put pictures of me up around the house, and Brooklyne said that she's going to make an amendment in her Will to give some things to me, which I think is just absolutely incredible of her. I didn't expect it at all. Brooklyne's mom and her husband have agreed to treat me like their grandkid, which is also just incredible of them.
