Maladaptive Daydreaming: where wild minds come to rest
I am only 15, and I doubt those of you who don't know me will be able to guess what I spend the majority of my time daydreaming about. Before I could even attempt to tell you about my daydreams, I feel I need to tell you my daydream history.
The first memories i have of daydreaming involved "playing house", I always wanted to be the dog. Somthing seemed very pleasing to be on all four legs, barking and being playful.
Later, I began to daydream about me being able to morph into any animal. I'd go on crazy adventures, having fun, saving animals and being hunted by scientists.
One day, I saw The Planet of the Apes. I had this feeling in my chest, one of excitement. That night, I put myself into the place of Taylor. It was the best daydream I had ever had.
A year or so later, I grew bored of the apes. Being held captive by them wasn't thrilling anymore. I actually laid on my bed wondering what i should daydream about (i was ten at the time) and decided aliens. Aliens can be anything, can want anything. So, i began to be a pet to them. The entertainment, the friendliness. They could be anything i want them to be.
So, around the time i moved, I created a character. First, her name was Nilla, after the Nilla wafers i loved so much. I became bored of this name, so I changed it to Holli, after a pet human in the family guy series (road to the multiverse)
So, my daydreams are weird ones. I spend the majority of my day imaging what it would be like to be a pet. Strange, I know, but I hope you can deal with that.
I do, however, love to talk about my daydreams. I really hope at least one of you have questions. Matthew tells me the "universe" that my daydreams take place in is well developed, there are laws on th different planets, there are special identification for humans, etc, that are very consistent. I really do help you ask plenty of questions =)

That sounds really interesting, miska. I'd like to hear more about that.
My daydreams are about and are from the perspective of Holli (baisically me, if i was in that situation) my daydreams aren't a continuous story, but jump around, i can start with a happy daydream, and have a separate holli die seconds later, only to jump back to the one before.
I have had several consistent characters, one being a forum member i have grown close to as of late, another was lindsey stirling, not just based off of her but was her, lol. Th third one was a boy named jack who i got rid of due to him having no purpose except being holli's boyfriend
I don't think it's weird at all!!! Some of my DD content is mostly too mundane and boring or just REALLY out of the left field, it'd be embarrassing to post much about them. Do you have characters but view the world/storyline from the pet's perspective then? Sounds similar to something I did as a kid.
Also: none of my daydreams are sexual, or anything like that.
I don't think these are that weird. My pets live very happy lives, so I can see how one would crave that simplicity.
