My biggest fear? Well it's not spiders, clowns, or those types of things. Rather my biggest fear is losing my MD. my daydreams have been there for me throughout my entire life, and often when I feel like I don't have a friend in the world, my fantasy world is there to convince me that maybe I matter even if I only matter to fantasy characters.
Recently I've been daydreaming less and that's beginning to scare me a lot. I don't know how to live my life without daydreams and I don't WANT to live my life without them. MD is and always will be my best friend...

Delorean, I agree, it's more than a good friend.  It's a significant part of who I am.  I get so excited about my  "life" (in  a DD) sometimes that it's hard for me not to tell everyone about it.  I have a good friend who is gay who experienced the same thing before he came out.  Because we can't share this excitement/fear/hope whatever with others, it turns us back more on ourselves.  Thank goodness for Cordellia.

Yeah, we're talking about your imagination here bro! Never lose that! I view dealing with MD more as a self-parenting process.  It goes beyond your best friend, it's who you are.

I can see how an attachment to your dream is such a big one. I too would miss mine, I think, because it is a part of who we are.

Its pretty common to get an attachment to our fantasy characters.  I have feelings for mine and would be very sad to lose them.  It would hurt along the same lines as losing a real friend.
