Maladaptive Daydreaming: where wild minds come to rest
Comment
It seems that way, I mean there are some girls I see and my confidence goes from a 10 to a -5, but I think everyone's got their own unique problems and struggles. I mean, you don't just go up to everyone and say "I'm an addicted daydreamer." right? I'm sure she struggles with something, everyone does.
That definitley doesn't mean some people don't have it much easier than others. And it doesn't mean life is fair, and it will never be. When you see a girl like that and get jealous and think "I will never be like her" then say exactly, so why stress about it.
I used to have this idea that everyone has to go through a fair amount of pain. If you're smart and talented, then it's fair that you're not pretty. If you have a great life in high school, then it's fair if you struggle with your life after high school......... etc. etc. Because of that belief, I subconsciously prevented myself from being completely happy, or having things I wanted, or being who I wanted, because it wouldn't be fair for my life or myself to be that perfect. Use this 'perfect' girl as evidence that this theory is bullshit and that you have every right to be and have everything that you want. Also as proof that being 'perfect' doesn't mean you have to be a snob or think you're better than others. Your happiness is now unlimited.
