So yea..... I've been reading through a lot of poetry from you, my fellow MDers. I haven't written anything in a long time but I went back and had a look at the stuff I used to write and thought I'd share the ones I like. So I guess I'll start posting some of my old poetry and miscellaneous writings with you all. ENJOY!

You Lie So Much, You Believe Yourself

look in the mirror 
who do you see?
Do you see the person you're trying to be?
OR do you see the person-
who sees the person you're trying to be?
when was the last time 
you saw yourself?
I know it's hard
because your make up is so thick
YOU HIDE YOURSELF WITH LIES!
you lower your shirt
and fake a smile
I know you haven't been happy for a while
AND YOU HAVENT BECOME THAT PERSON!
the only thing that you've become is
weak
and even more
insecure
and if you haven't seen it yet
with all the help I've given you
then you're hopeless
and I don't want to talk to it-
to the impostor you've become.
FIND ME WHEN YOU FIND YOURSELF!

 Written for a person I once considered my best friend. It's so weird reading this again. I wrote this back in 2008 and just recently started speaking to her again. I think she actually did become the person she was trying to be. Because she's so completely different now, when we started talking it was as if I was meeting her for the first time....
