31/10/12 - A Special Halloween Edition

Hallow's eve. A day when the door to our world from that of the spirits is open for those who wish to enter. There's only one thing to do on this sinister, macabre and altogether supernatural day; take our kids out and bang on the doors of tired, fed-up people to ask for sweets, of course.

I didn't get up to much today. Watching the 'Telly-box' mostly. This afternoon as the sun set, and the swarms of families set out to find the most welcoming and wealthy house holds to call… Continue

30/10/12

Had a rather enjoyable day today. I decided that i would break out of my usual routine of sitting around watching TV all day, and do something less lethargic. I began with more reading from 'The Time Machine', in which i learnt that going down strange, darkened wells ill equiped is rather precarious. The story is quite metaphorical, in my opinion, with respect to mankind and society; the Eloi representing the innocence and naïvity of humans. The author uses the Morlocks, on the other hand to… Continue

29/10/12

Monday. A usually tedious start to the week fails to live up to expectations as i have the week off. Due to the aforementioned holiday, i'm back at home and having to write on an ipod. It's being written in 'notes' and i'm going to copy and paste to Wildminds, so apologies for more error in grammer, graphology or spelling than usual.

The journey back to Sheffield wasn't great, if i'm honest. I set off to the station only to find that i had been ill informed by my mother about… Continue

24/10/12

Whilst sitting here on YouTube watching a video of the best bits of the Ricky Gervais podcasts, a section about Karl Pilkington starting his diary came on. (After almost dying of laughter) I decided I would be interesting to begin my own diary, with this being my first entry.

The day began with a chicken sandwich on wholemeal bread. The poultry was questionable, but what do you expect from Tesco’s own, thin sliced, one pound fifty for a thousand slices…

DIARY OF A STUDENT WHO DECIDED TO WRITE A DIARY

I've decided to keep an online record of daily events, I'm not anticipating that anyone will even consider reading it, but if you do, I'd appreciate it so much and feel free to leave a comment or question and I'll get back to you as soon as possible if it's relevant for me to do so. The entries will be on separate blog posts entitled the date they were written.

It's also unclear to me how interesting it will be to others here as i won't be mentioning MD unless…

The Power of an Individual

CHAPTER 1:

No man is an island, but give him a workforce and he can build one. All he needs is the passion to succeed and a willing crowd, a rare combination in this egotistic society. Imagine, however, an individual, no one special, but one who has an idea. The idea is to gather a crowd of other individuals like him self. Now, as the saying goes, "three's a crowd", but how about three thousand, three million even. An endless…
