Email from Cynthia

I was wondering if anyone else has gotten the email from Cynthia asking for money? Sounds like her account got hacked. Does anyone know how to reach her?

Was it an email on here or from her private email address? I told her to change her pw, but does she need to change her acct pw or her private email pw? So scary.

BTW, if ANYTHING strange like that ever happens again, please do tell, so we can get it fixed as soon as possible. Thanks again for saying something.

It was sent from her aol account. Here is a copy of the email just in case anyone else has gotten it:

"How are you doing? I am sorry I didn't inform you about my traveling for a Seminary in Nigeria. It as been a very sad and bad moment for me because my wallet which contain my passport, my money, phone as well as other valuable items were made away by robbers in my hotel room, I was traced to the Hotel where I lodged. I urgently need your financial assistance. The total sum of money that i would need would be $3150 to facilitate my travelling back home and paying the hotel bills am owing them here, I wasn't injured because I complied immediately. I need you to be the helper I will greatly appreciated. I'll pay you back as soon as i return, Let me know if you can assist me so that i can send you the details to use when sending the money through western union.

Sounds like a classic Nigerian money scam. Thanks for sharing. I'll email her again letting her know which acct. If it happens again, or anything else weird happens, please let me know. Thanks for the update!

Yeah, it's a classic scam. Just heard from Cynthia & she changed her pw, so no one should get it anymore. I get several of those per day, just not from anyone claiming to be someone I know. That's creepy.
