No, but I tried the mindfulness technique.
How does Vipasana work exactly? Is it a spiritual meditation?
Hi Valeria,
To me , maladaptive daydreaming is absent from reality, sitting and dreaming with open eyes, everything is perfect and things are in my control and if there is some problem, it is not I am facing but someone is facing. If someone insults and do injustice, I do not react. It is not happened to me. This has been my condition and perhaps I have not loved my family full awaked. There has been moments where I could be me. This forum and information from net discovered my this mental condition. Thanks I am coming to my senses. It is only me who can understand me.
Than I came to know about vipasana, have known it in theory. But without practice it is of no value. I have not gone through this course under a teacher. It is freely taught world wide in Vipasana Centre to know more about one may visit https://www.dhamma.org.
For temporary step, I am practicing Anapana, it is just observe your breath, just sit free and observe your breath as it comes and it goes out. It is Simple to observe your breath, as it comes and it go out tough nostrils. This can be said to be a type meditation technique. Anapana is first step to vipasana. It is not to control breathing, but merely observe it is natural normal state. It help me in my Initial stage. Seeing breath only helps discover our nature. This was taught by Lord Buddha, about 2000 years ago. This attention to breath helps a lot.
There are many apps and timers to help do anapana.
Can you tell what type meditation you tried.
Vipasana is a mindful technique to know the present, to remain in present, to feel the body sensations, which comes and it disperse.
it works by feeling subtle body sensations.
It begins from feeling sensation of pure breath, which is called as Anapana.
It is not spiritual and it is popular in all religions.
I request the community at least know more about it. May it helps us all. MD are not enjoying life to full.
