Whenever I come up with something a character says to another character I fund myself repeating and changing it over and over until it's "perfect"
I will spends DAYS on one topic (I think of things as topics, like if a character calls someone and has something important to say). This is even more exhausting then dreaming itself. Does anyone else do this?

Hell I do this for like ALL my good daydream scenes. It gets really annoying after a while..
My daydream world is over 20 years old, and I still replay scenarios from 20 years ago........like a long lost love returning home or a great conversation.  Of course I always forget exactly what happened, so the scenario is never quite the same.  Some memories are just to sweet not to relive.

Oh, yes, guilty!  I repeat conversations, certain scenes, or entire story lines.  Sometimes changing things to make it better, sometimes changing it because I forgotten bits and pieces.  Sometimes I think one of the reasons for this repetition is for the same reason we will re-watch a favorite movie over and over.  We just truly enjoy it.  Except that we can't change the movie!  ;)

Sometimes if I really like daydreaming about it, or if I completely want it to be perfect. Or should that be 'If I want it to be completely perfect'? Yeah, it should. Wording fail :)

EDIT: Hey, I even do it when typing out replies to discussions on here! XD

Absolutely, I repeat scenes, dialogues, situations, everything over & over for as long as I can remember.  I regularly change the character(s) involved, except for me, of course, but  some key dialogues & situations remain the same.  They are just so emotionally satisfying.

I do that too!

yepp, i do that too! it gets really frustrating though....feel like i have OCD...just gotta get it right
