Maladaptive Daydreaming: where wild minds come to rest
What kind of emotion do you feel while daydreaming?
I know many people (me also) can feel the emotions of the caracter they are creating. But when you are daydreaming, you know this is not real, so you feel this emotions not as strong as real ones, more...controled. But my question is about the general emotion when you know you are daydreaming. Can you feel happiness sometimes? Euphoria?

I can feel all the emotions of the particular character I'm focusing on. Even though I mainly daydream in 3rd person, I still am very "connected" to the characters. The stronger the emotion the character/s are feeling the more I feel it.
The general feeling is excitement, I guess, with moments of euphoria--emotional highs. Sometimes it takes a turn and the feeling is frustration, and then I'm trying to do in my head whatever I need to do to get back to that emotional high.
I feel excited amused when I laugh at the funny things my characters do and on the rare ocassion that gushy love feeling when i am intimate with a character I also for some reason feel an emotion that is unique to each character I roleplay I've discussed this more in another post.
I feel every thought and every emotion of every main character in my daydream world. In fact, that's usually what decides for me whether a character stays or goes. If I bring on a new character or bring back an old one, and I can't get into their minds or their emotions, they often have to leave. They move away, get killed off, or simply fade into the background. As for how strongly I feel them, I feel them just as strongly as any emotion in the outside world.
It depends on what is happening during the daydream. If I daydream about something sad (such as one of my character's friends dying), it makes me feel sad. If I daydream about something happy and/or cool (such as my character going skateboarding), it makes me feel euphoric. If I daydream about something that makes me angry (such as people being bullied), it makes me feel angry. But if I daydream about something scary I don't feel afraid because I know it's not real, and either I already know what's going to happen or I know I'll be able to think of some way for my character to get out of the situation.
