Well for starters, I'm not exactly sure I MD but I've recently been doing a bit of research and a lot of the common symptoms and some causes are very similar to what I'm like.
I have ADHD, used to have mild depression and anxiety, low self esteem and sometimes I'm very socially awkward. I get a lot of headaches and feel light headed a lot of the time just after I have a day dream.

A lot of my day dreams are very similar. Usually either people around me dieing or my partner cheating on me. It's not always the same though, a lot of the time ill be in the middle of something and then kind of zone out but still be doing what I was doing like my body is on auto pilot while my mind is off seeing said 'daydream'. I don't really know how to describe it all that well even though its been happening to me for a while.

Just not really sure if its MD or something else. I know it's not schizophrenia because I don't hallucinate or hear voices or any of that.
Just thought a little bit of advice from someone with some experience in this kind of thing would help give me a bit of peace of mind

Well, that's not enough information to go on for me.  It's up to you to decide if you think you have it.  Some things to consider are: do you daydream a lot?  Is it starting to affect your life?  Are you starting to prefer your fantasy life to the real world?  Does it interfere in your relationships?  Do you have trouble concentrating because of it?  Do you enact some sort of movement (like pacing) while daydreaming?  Just telling us your daydream content isn't enough to go on because many people daydream about different things.  Even if you don't think you have it, you're welcome to hang out here as we're here to support people, even if they don't have it.

Blake, I had to delete your reply due to it having profanity.  Profanity is against the rules.  We're here to help you, but you must follow the rules.

I'm still not sure if you have MD yet.  Usually people with MD spend a lot of time daydreaming, and if they don't get it under control, it can be hard to stop, and at that point it really starts to affect their lives.  Why don't you just look around the site, read some of people's stories, and see if it feels like something you may have?  Here is a wonderful article written a few years ago in Scientific American Mind about MD.  Why don't you check it out?  http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/living-in-an-imaginary-wo...

I don't know...your daydream content sounds more like an average person's than a maladaptive daydreamer's. But if you somehow turned those things into a deep and complex storyline that you can get lost in for hours, then I would say probably.
Oh yeah sorry about that. As I said before I'm not sure if it is MD or not I'm just curious because when I looked it up I had a lot of the symptoms of it. I just came here to try and get a little bit of insight on the whole thing. I really appreciate all the help though even if I don't actually have maladaptive daydreams :)

We're here to help you in any way we can.  You'll figure this out.  Even if you end up deciding that you don't have it, if you need support, you're welcome to stay.

Thanks a lot for that, never really had many people in my life that don't think I'm crazy or a weirdo hahah :)

No one will think you're crazy or a weirdo here.  :)
