Maladaptive Daydreaming: where wild minds come to rest
Because I do... ( what I dream about is in my blog) and it is...werid.. i guess....
I just want to know if anyone else does so we can compare ideas on this topic.
My dreams are about dragons, faerie, new realms and other things.
I was think about creating a story out of it. A novel of some sort. But that is just an idea.
I realized this today and.. I fear that I may be losing control over my life in the real world.
I want to tell my parents about this too but one of my parents isn't exactly the supportive type...and it is hard to talk to.
I AM going to go talk to my college counselor to see if they can help me.
What do you, the other maladaptive daydreamers, think about my odd daydreams?

It's about half real-world and half magic. Depends on my mood lol. Nowadays, the daydreaming is mostly a cure for the loneliness so it doesn't always have to be extraordinary, just need some good friends. But my MC is a witch.
I daydream about a town I live in where there are supernatural creatures including myself. It's much more exciting that way to me. Reality bores me, honestly and I've always had such a fascination with the supernatural especially werewolves and witches for some reason. That's just one of the many creatures in my little town though.
I've also written many stories about it because I have always had a love for writing, but I can never finish them because my daydreams change so much according to the mood I'm in and I shift back and forth with the different stories. The farthest I've gotten is 33 pages and even that was surprising I went on for that long for one daydream. You definitely aren't alone though.
Reading all of the comments. mine are like that too. So much supernatural things and reality bores me as well. I play skyrim a lot so that helps lol
After waking from an afternoon nap while still lying in bed my eyes focused on the back of the bedroom door when it warped into an oval shaped convex bubble two times before returning to normal. I tried to re-focus my eyes again. When you are in your daydream ask yourself if you are awake. Sometimes I feel like I am a worker drone that has been cloned and have occasional ghost memories from some lost original from another world. It is a constant struggle to adapt and gain freedom. I try to focus on the good and positive from my daydreams and use it to make my reality a better place.
Almost all of my daydreams involve supernatural stuff. I mean, since most of the people on here seem to enjoy their daydreams, if you enjoy supernatural stuff, there is nothing wrong with that.
Missing time, I lost 24 hours once and have no recollection. When I showed up for work it was the second day on the schedule when I was sure it was the first. Did I accidently cross an invisible threshold into the future? How crazy is that? My reflex is like lightning while my response is controlled and disciplined. Ready, Set, G...oh!

By the way, I was a day late and $240.00's short in my paycheck, bummer. Welcome to the future.
It is extremely difficult to tell people about are daydreams because they are so...weird i guess...but I love mine.
