I think the two are linked. Mine seem to be the opposite. What is happening in my DD affects my mood in real life. I believe it works both ways.

When I was younger whenever I would get mad or depressed my daydreams would turn incredibly violent. Lots of desctruction, blood, and torture stuff... but I was in a pretty bad place back then. Nowadays I never really get into that negative of a mood, and my daydreams are a lot brighter, more colorful, and full of romance or excitement. They still vary a lot depending on what's going on around me and what's been happening in my life lately though. So yeah, they really do reflect my emotions a lot. More than anything, really.

Yes! In fact I have some "go to" dds for when I'm angry, lonely, sad, or whatever. I'm never sure which one my mind will settle on but there are definitely mood based dds. And songs that go along with them. If I'm deeply entranced in a dd(generally romantic) it may affect my real life mood but usually it's the other way around. Maybe it lets me safely experience my emotions. I'm really guarded in letting my emotions out in real life. People always compliment me on how calm I am but they don't know the destruction I can bring in my mind ;)

Yes yes! I have friends who I occasionally describe my dreams to and they always seem a little shocked. X) And those are my actual dreams, by the way.... When I become lucid at night I have a tendency to just start destroying things left and right lol.

As long as the destroying is in dreams only then I think we are doing okay!

No not really.  I see my daydreams as completly different from my reality.    There was a time when if I was upset or angry that it would affect my daydreams but not so much anymore.

My dreams are so different they don't get affected by how I feel. It actually really helps to be happy in my dreams when nothing goes right in life
