I'm curious how do individuals with children especially young ones, manage their MDD? How does it affect their role as a parent? Do their MDDs include their children? I'm not sure if it has been discussed on the forum, I haven't seen any discussions as yet.

If you are a mum or dad with young children, tell me what is it like for you and your MDD?

so noone here is a parent?? how odd.

My youngest of three is now 13 years old, so the hard times are over. I always found it very challenging when the kids were very small, especially my oldest didn' t sleep much during the day and I had no time for myself. Without daydreaming I was in a bad mood, I tried to get a bit of rest by going to the park, or lying down when my husband came from work and took over.

My daydreams don't include an improved Me, but my daydream-charakters lead a very different but also very similar life. The main charakter has now two children, that are more than 10 years younger than my real children, the daydream-baby is now about one year old. So family life is a very important part in my reality and also in dreamland.

During the last years my daydreaming decreased immense - I don't have this big problem anymore that I need much time for it, but daydreams still come every day.
