Hahah, no. It's probably the intensity of your daydream episode that causes symptoms such as headache. If your daydreams are more intense to heavy metal than to, say, classical music which is logical after all due to the speed and strength of such music, then it's logical that your engagement in daydream is greater, and therefore, symptoms are stronger. However, that's my personal opinion and I could easily be wrong. But keep in mind that headaches are a product of MD for some people, although not so common.

Don't worry about it pal. No music can possibly cause you any damage no matter how heavy it is. People with MD tend to get headaches a lot through daydreaming. Like Eretaia said your daydreams are probably more intense when you are listening to metal.

I'm a big metal fan and have never experienced any headaches based on that alone.

No way, I like my metal too! It could be either the intensity of the fantasy or the volume you play the music, methinks.

Owh,so the daydreaming damage the brain..

High volume can cause it even for people who don't have MD, but the reason of your headaches is probably daydreams, not music. Music only intensifies daydreams, so: the more you enjoy music -> the more intense are your daydreams -> the stronger are your physical symptoms, that is, headache, increased heartbeat etc. IMHO, high volume has nothing to do with it, but you can always test that. Do you experience headaches when listening to other genres, especially slower types of music?

pheoniX, the loud music, especially through ear buds, can cause hearing damage. This could be causing headaches. Head banging to metal music can cause mild concussion, dizziness and headache.

The adverse affect of head banging is pretty mild, but if a person is doing it several hours a day, it is possible they are giving themselves a headache by sloshing the brain around.

Ya,I got listen slower type music. It does not effect headache and I boring to listen anyway.....BUT YA  if I listen metal music,i start to perspiration a lot and heartbeat increase drastically.......AND I gone crazy Moving around the room until become so tired and headache. Then, it satisfied for me to stop. Now I realize that is Daydreaming cause all the problem.
