I have been trying to give up on maladaptive daydreaming and something which I noticed was whenever something started going wrong I instalty started to daydream so what I am trying to do is when I have a problem I try to stay in reality and so far it is helping.

For about aweek I have been listening to affirmation saying  "I dont maladptive daydream anymore"  which I recorded and I listen to it every night during my sleep  so it could be that.If anyone wants me create some subliminal audios or recirded affirmtion  on stopping maladaptive daydreaming I could do that and upload them to wildminds.

+1 to what Alison said. Constantly invoking something isn't exactly the best way to get rid of it. Instead of "I don't daydream", maybe something like "I focus on reality. I am awake and aware" might have a better impact?

The thing about affirmations is you shouldn't use any negative statements - or they will stop being affirmations. Becoz if you say "I don't daydream", it can be decyphered as "I could be daydreaming but I don't", so you still remind yourself that it is possible, you remind yourself of the very fact of maladaptive daydreaming. This may affect you in the opposite way. It's much better to exclude both the words "not" and "daydreaming" and use positive statements instead.
