Woah! I almost crashed once while driving because I was daydreaming, scared the living $h!t out of me!!! This is why I never turn on the stereo while driving, music is one of my biggest triggers. Most of my friends say I am a very nervous driver and need to chill. Gets me kind of frustrated as most of them don't know whats going on in my head.  Only tips i have are:

1. Drive music free

2. Talk to someone while driving or take someone along with you

3. Try to keep at least a 2 cars distance to have enough time to react

4. Drink ice cold water or coffee to keep you alert

5. Take the bus or walk(never hurts to get a little exercise)

This is why I am super super strict with myself when it comes to driving. If I daydream and start zoning off, I pull up on a parking lot, berate myself, and allow myself to calm down before driving again.
