Long time no see everyone!!

So, my previous post was rather depressing, and I was honestly not well mentally. Now I'm much better.

I've decided to post an update, and this post is really important to me personally as it is my anniversary on this website. It's been a year since I discovered the community of people just like me. It feels surreal, but I somehow managed to finish my first year in university despite being completely unable to focus.

Then, procrastinating, I watched a youtube video called 'I got diagnosed with ADHD'. While watching, I slowly started to pay more attention then usual. The story of this woman felt so... familiar? Almost in a creepy way. I realised that it sounds like a 'literally me' situation. After 2 weeks of thinking, I went to a psychiatrist, and told everything about my daydreaming. Then, after some tests I got diagnosed too. I guess you could see that coming lmao.

What changed? I was shocked how efficient the medication is for me: I am finally able to focus, sleep properly and have less desire to daydream than usual.

So, what I want to say with this: I don't think that we, daydreamers, all have ADHD. And I certainly don't want you to self-diagnose or, even worse, to take medication without prescription. With these posts I just want to share my own story, maybe it will help someone to not feel alone. I want to say that if you feel stuck or like you're going circles, maybe you should seek professional help. If my mum didn't make me go to a psychiatrist, I perhaps wouldn't be here today.

I wish you all the best, and I really want all of you to live a happy life. Of course I'll keep you updated as my journey continues.

God bless you all.
