For the longest time I have MDdreamt and for the longest time I've known I was color blind. I have a form of color blindness known as Protanomaly which means I don't naturally have the ability to see the color red. Therefore I confuse red and green. For years I have dreamt about what the color red would be like. I read the book, "the colour out of space" and it made me dd a million times more about what it would be like to see this new spectrum of light that is unknown to me. Well now I can see it and it is nothing like what I had imagined in dreams. Using a pair of contacts purchased from Korea I was able to finally see the color red and get my regular perscription. The lenses only work for people with protanomaly and not protanopia. There is some testing going on to make a deuternomaly type lens but it's not done. The problem with them is that they are thick and cause your eyes to look different directions lol they also hurt so I don't wear them often:(. Sorry for this lecture, I feel as though my dreams have come just a bit closer to reality. I'm glad I was able to dd of having before having them because I think I would have freaked out if not the least bit prepared. The dding has greatly helped me to understand your world and I am glad to see things from the vision of others lol(^∇^)byebye

Wow, that sounds scary. I can see why you'd be shocked then. And I didn't think about that, like the tones of red in people's skin, just how it's all throughout our lives without us realizing it. We take it for granted. It does have this hot/angry/passionate vibe to it. Doesn't sound like it was very pleasant! But at least your boyfriend still looked beautiful to you. :)

I was shocked and half disgusted. I saw my face in full color for the first time and to me- I looked like some kind of devil. I never knew color could LOOKED hot^ - ^ but the first human face I ever saw in full color other than my own was my love... To be honest- I think he looked beautiful, but for the most part everyone else looks very terrifying

So you were disappointed by seeing red? That's my favorite color. :) it must be odd to try to imagine a color you've never seen. I've read that there are more colors in the world that humans can't see. It's impossible to imagine for me. What was it like to see it for the first time? Were you really surprised? I'm quite curious about this!
