Hello. I'm new to this site. I only heard about MD recently by accident. My friend was on a random facts site. At first I looked it up, because I was bored and was telling my friends that it sounds like me as a joke. But as I started reading into it, I realized how much it really did sound like me.

I daydream excessively, and some days I can hardly make it through school. The moment I get home I start pacing. When no one is around I can't even go 20 min. without getting up again. I'm a huge procrastinator, because when I go to do my homework I'll just start daydreaming.

Yes, i relate to this perfectly. Except with me I kept on doing this long after i finished school. I'm 33 now, and it's still a problem. It's distressing and disappointing, because I've really wasted so much of my life on this. I can understand why people consider it like an addiction. It's extremely compulsive. I keep trying to stop, though. I hope some of the information here helps. Good luck, and welcome to WM!

Here's some advice. This has always worked for me, although lately not as well because my MD is getting more and more severe. Set aside some time each day to daydream. When you want to daydream, just remind yourself that you can daydream later. If something triggers you or you get an idea, remember what it was and remind yourself that you can daydream about it later.
