Mostly just electronica music though (not very well-rounded after all). xD

Ooo more artists to check out~ :D I like dark and creepy.

Comment by Cheryl Calvino on August 29, 2011 at 10:10pm: Like EludeMyFantasies, I'm a huge fan of Skrillex, Evanescence, and Apocalyptica. If you like the last two, especially, you might have interest in musicians like Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation: they both have that dark rock feel with a female singer, like Evanescence, and often incorporate cellos and other classical instruments.

What I listen to depends mostly on the content of my DD. If I'm thinking about something dark and creepy, I'll listen to what's listed above, along with System of a Down, Thursday, Rage Against the Machine, and Puscifer. The original soundtracks from the Silent Hill series are also great for this mind frame (Akira Yamaoka is the composer/artist behind them). When I'm fantasizing about a sort of Victorian time period or a Lord of the Rings type setting, I listen to the Decemberists. The Donnas are also a favorite group of mine, for a more kick-ass kind of tone, and I was crazy about My Chemical Romance when I was a teenager.

That's all I've got the will to list right now... If I kept going, we'd be here all night, lol. After all, my iTunes library has 1399 songs in it! O_O

I don't get that many youtube hits with the other spelling. If so, that music sounds awesome. Definitely up my alley. x3 (guilty that I don't know all the others, but I'll check them out) xD

I also daydream to different genres of music, but in particular, I'd like to know what MDers listen to that's relaxing and lets your mind drift away~
