I've never heard of such a thing but it certainly sounds like a neat idea. Heck, any kind of retreat where others could just meet one another and discuss the same things we see in groups would be neat, however most likely uncomfortable since I notice many of us are either antisocial or introverts.
greyartist, i've actually tried that. I've attended a month long Dathun which is a Buddhist meditation retreat. I actually felt better in controlling my compulsive thoughts when the retreat was done with but my control went away a couple of weeks afterwards. If somebody with MD wants to seek therapy through meditation, they're going to have to make meditation a life style. I think it's also best to try and find a meditation group to meditate with.
That would be awesome. If nothing else, I would love to attend an in-person support group where people actually could connect and hang out. It would give them a way to have friends/meet people, since so many of us have difficulty with that, especially since the thing we have in common really takes over our lives.

not that I know of. It would be interesting. I guess there would be a therapist onsite, maybe do group therapy while you were there. It would be nice. Probably would be really expensive. I think going to a meditation retreat would be very therapeutic for MD.
