Limerence is when you become so obsessed with somebody that you start to constantly fantasize about them, like saving them from a crisis and being a hero; or at least in my experience. So can MD be related to that?
My daydreams are just because of this term ''limerence'' . I have strong affection for a person since the day i saw her she is in real life , before i had a crush , who was a TV actress (name is hidden) i still have a crush on her even after long years . As far as the term crush is concerned the person whom you like stay's in your blood forever , mind doesn't agree to forget the person , maybe we it's just a crush which ''might'' fade away but it might be that daydreaming is taking it way to far, when you know you cant get him/her , you find fantasy the right place to fulfill what you want .
I read on wiki article about limerence which also stated that the person who is obessessed with other person ''fantasize'' . ''Dreams give out strong emotion and happiness when experienced, but often end with despair when the subject awakens'' . For others who aren't aware of this look up at wiki here is the link :
I can relate to this totally . Things might start to make sense ones you can relate to it for the ones who have 'crush'' problems and daydream excessively about your crush .
Hard to say, since MD has the same symptoms to many disorders like:
ADHD- excessive daydreaming
OCD- obsessions and compulsions
Anxiety- some use daydreaming to relieve stress or become anxious when they don't daydream
Depression- isolating yourself
Schizophrenia- (negative symptoms)daydreaming
De realization- not in touch with reality
Dissociative disorder- feeling life is not real
Social anxiety- avoiding ppl
