Maladaptive Daydreaming: where wild minds come to rest
I'm someone who has been active on this website since late 2012. In my early days here, I met a lot of friends. My first and best friend I made was a man named Liam. He was most active here in late 2012 and 2013, so I doubt most people who are active now will know who he is, but he was amazing guy with a heart of gold and who had been a very good friend of mine since we met.
Early this year, something horrible happened to Liam. He found his mother and grandmother murdered in a bathtub in the grandmother's house (I think it was the grandmother's house). The murderer was Liam's cousin. This hit Liam hard (which is an understatement), not only with the murder, but also with the trauma of having been the one to discover the bodies. Liam stayed strong, or at least he seemed to be staying strong.
On April 20th, however, he jumped in front of a train and died immediately. I was unaware that this had happened until yesterday, on July 3rd. It was unusual for us to go this long without talking, so I was naturally worried. I, however, always concluded that it was something else and soon he'd message me and explain his absence. However, yesterday, I decided to Google his name, which is when I found an article about his passing.

Obviously, this is a tragic story in every way and I'm devastated that this happened to a good, long-time friend of mine. Thank you all for taking the time to read this post. Liam's account on here is still in existance. In case anyone ever reads this who was on WM in 2013 or 2012 and spoke to Liam, please feel free to comment (and everyone else).

I'm sorry for your loss. I hope he's happy and peaceful now.
Ouch... I am so sorry for your loss. He seems like a very nice guy and I am so sorry to hear this. I think he is in a better place now, since he had a heart of gold. Even if you are not religious, I want to say this... If someone we love is in heaven, then a little bit of heaven is in our home. :)
Thanks for the kind thoughts, everyone.
I never spoke personally to Liam, but I knew of him, thanks to Rachel. He was from the generation before mine. I joined this site in late 2013, so it's been about 3 years now that i've been a part of this community. Having this place to talk about issues, meeting the wonderful people who visit the forums and the chat, this has been a real godsend. It's literally saved my life, and my heart goes out to Liam, because i think so many of us are struggling with personal issues, depression, anxiety, and even suicidal thoughts. I wish there was more we could have done. I hope that people reading this will seek out other members or, if your situation becomes worse, to seek out medical advice. It seems like we are all alone sometimes, but we are not! We do have connections, and we have each other to talk to. I hope you never feel so lost. Please, remember, someone loves you!
I wish i could have known Liam. He was kind and considerate and a very good friend to the people that knew him best. Goodbye, Liam, you left us too soon. :'(
Thank you for your comment, Kali. I hope you enjoy WM!
I´ve never met Liam since I´m new here, but I just wanted to say that I´m sorry for him to pass away and for your loss and I hope he is now in a much more better place.
