I think that most of people here have a qimilar experience. Try to talk to the person you are daydreaming about and you'll see the illusion will fall apart because you don't actually love the person just the idealised version of him or her. Try dating people and you'll see the feelings that you feel in the world aren't as pain free as the ones in your daydreams but they are more intense. MD is about losing connection with your real feelings.

My name is Jazmyn, and I have had MDD since I was around 8 years old. I am now in high school. Have you ever had a crush on someone that you've never talked to, and eventually found yourself daydreaming about that person and falling in love with them? Does anyone know how to stop getting so emotionally attached?

I have a little tip for taking classes with MDD. I know my hardest type of classes/teachers are those that lecture. My main tip is to try to take notes and draw (and focus on that), or if you can't, get a friend you can rely on for notes. You can also go to tutoring if you're confused.

Hello.. I am 19. I am new here ... I am completely addicted to mdd.. I am stucked .... Don't know how to get out of it.... I want to be normal... Wanted to live my life .... Wanted to be free as a brid .... I hate to give reasons but mdd is my biggest reason.... Its a thing that made me weak every time ... It wastes my time .. All my dreams all my wishes are incompleted bcoz of dis... But at the end of the day it is the only thing that give me happiness in my fantasy world.... I am waiting for that day when my fantasy world will be my real world... When I fly in open sky... No worries ! Want to touch that happiness .... Want to feel freedom... Wanted to just be free. Want to do all those things which i want! No one can brings me down..!! It would be the happiest day and happiest life <3 ... I just want to start that journey I don't know what I get .. Success or failure... Whatever it is ... I Want to give my 100% .... Want to face every challenge... Want to live free in that journey... And enjoy each and every moment....

Well if you are in an English class and writing an essay what I do is daydream about the article it's supposed to be based off of. And if its an argumentative essay, daydream that your debating about the assigned topic. This works for me, but every Daydreamer is different, but it's worth a try. For math, honestly i have no clue because I had a F all semester long until my teacher took pity on me and have me a B on my final grade. Anyways, I guess just try the essay thing and see what happens, couldn't hurt.

hmm well. There's a few things you can do. One of them is to  Daydream that you are working. You can make it more interesting by adding things that... happen. IDK. I don't know your habits or what happens in your daydreams, but keep in mind that our daydreams are what we want to do. So daydreaming about doing an essay may help you do your essays.

Its a matter of knowing yourself and your habits to be able to find a solution.

Well my daydreams are normally based on books, tv shows and films that I like at the time and in my daydreams I am a stronger better version of myself

Hi I am 13 years old and I struggle to do long essays because I struggle to focus on one thing for long periods of time without daydreaming. Does anyone have any tips to deal with this?
