I joined this site months ago before leaving for college but never actually got around to looking at it and I am so glad that I did. I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who daydreams with so much detail and passion, with the same characters every time, basically with another world they escape to. I'm still young (just turned 19) and have been doing this since I was about 5 or so and it was never too big of an issue until now since I'm away from home, living with roommates, and basically out in the adult world. It's been scary and probably the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with but I'm hoping I can find solace in this site!
I know it is difficult and scary, but you are lucky having found out all this in such a young age, it means that your healing has already started.
The adult world it's hard, you realize that you can't just wait for things to happen, you have to do them, be active and take plenty of decisions... MDD brings you to do the opposite! But if you are aware of it, you can face it.
Remember to ask for help whenever you need it and don't be ashamed of it. We need to build a world in which there's much more cooperation among people.

Welcome to Wild Minds Network Laura :)
Same story here. 5 was my age whene I made my first plotline. Just started college too. But luckily I don't need to leave home :D The adult world sounds very scary. I wish you luck with that.
