So, I started to realize something the other day when a guy a kind of liked asked me. I said no. As soon as he asked me to be his girlfriend, I was instantly turned off from him. The reason being? I realized he wasn't as good as by dd boyfriend, Xavier. I felt like I was going to betray Xavier by saying yes to that boy. No boy will be as perfect as him, I'll never like someone as much as I like him. How can I be in a real relationship if I love Xavier?

Haleigh hope you wont mind my asking, are you in your teens?

To answer your question- you need to understand that when you hold someone to those idealized standards, you are also holding yourself to very unrealistically high standards. When you are with Xavier in your MDDs, you are also not like what you are in real life. You also see yourself as a slightly idealized/different version that you are.

I'm assuming that you are in your teens or have just hit the 20yr age bracket. The older you get the more realistically you will see yourself and guys.

Nobody's perfect, no even in MDDland.
