Ideas for art pieces to symbolise/explain what maladaptive daydreaming is

Hey,

A few of you may have read my blog posts, recently I have been extremely depressed and I have began to deal with my md, seeing councellors, telling my friends and family etc. I am an art student at university and as a lot of you are artists I am sure you know how impossible it is to create good art when uninspired and unwilled, so for my end of year exhibition I have decided to create art explaining the feeling of md, how it feels to be in a maladaptive daydream, and how it feels to be a maladaptive dreamer. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for how I could replicate the feelings of md.

hmmmm, that's hard due to the fact that it is so different for everyone. Is it going to be paintings drawings etc?

I was thinking of portraying the disconnected-ness from the rest of the world  that we all seem to feel, mainly through drawing and painting, probably in a surrealist style similar to salvador dali

that reminds me of a picture I saw, I think it shows how I feel sometimes.

I can think of some movies mainly Mulholland Dr., 8 1/2 and Persona are some that spring to mind.
