I've been thinking about starting therapy but I'm not sure if there are any reliable therapist out there who understand what MDD is. Does anyone know any good therapist/psychologist? Or should I not waste my time on a therapist because it will not work?

I've consider also going to therapy, but I am a little reticent to go since I feel like they could try to fit this in mental illness instead of addiction. I am not sure, but I suspect that one of my friends has MD. He has a character that everyone knows about and when he went to see a psychologist they actually diagnostic him of schizophrenia. Like I said, i don't know if is condition is simply MD or if he actually is schizophrenic.

But I don't think it's a waste of time, I also plan to go but I keep in mind that they could neither take this not seriously or too seriously. Geez I hope my answer didn't scared you.

Of course it will help !!! You do not even need to mention MDD tout the therapist, If you are scared. But try to find out with her/him what makes you dd and then work on that with the therapist to heal yourself, and you will DD less. I promise you, it works.

Good Luck.
