Hey i have read that
it becomes hard to concentrate with maladaptive daydreaming, does that also incl not being able to concentrate even while not daydreaming. Like me i would put on a lecture on YouTube but then I cant concentrate at all but not because ii'd be daydreaming but its just i cant. But then at the same time when someone is physically or virtually present nd makes me learn or learns with me i mean a tutor, then i am able to concentrate nd learn ....
Does anyone know what is this?

According to the MD research website, MD is associated with ADHD, which is characterized by difficulty concentrating.

When I was first getting help for my daydreaming issue, I got tested for ADHD. I had to focus on a very simple, boring task for 15 minutes, pressing one button in response to one thing and another button in response to another thing. And even though I wasn’t daydreaming, even though I was doing my absolute best to pay attention, the results showed that, although I don’t have ADHD, I do have a lower than average ability to pay attention. And that’s when I’m not daydreaming.

I have to wonder if my lower than average ability to pay attention predisposed me to MD. Maybe I created my fantasy world because the real world didn’t hold my attention for very long.

I think this problem is different from MD. It looks like you have MD and difficulty in concentration as well.

Tutors and teachers are there for the very reason it's easier to learn with them, so no wonder it's easier for you too.

Nd i mean only a tutor who would hold me accountable, not a teacher in a classroom .
