Why do some people not believe you when you are telling the truth?

I was confronted by a family member of mine accusing me of a serious matter and yet what they accused me of wasn't true so I obviously stood up for myself. They didn't believe AT ALL! I was in shock, because this person was my got to person; the kind of person you can trust ans has always been their for me. So I don't understand how they cannot believe or how they could ever believe what they are accusing me of.  I've began to wonder if they ever even knew me like I thought they did.

Have you ever been accused of something terrible by the least expected person?

How can you convince someone you are telling the truth?

Jenny, hang in there.  Stay honest.  Now I'm around people who believe me and treat me with more respect.  I'm glad my story helped.  It was awful to live with, but things are better now.  People don't accuse me of lying as much, so I haven't acted guilty in a long time.

I have brother and I think you shouldn't give up on him, because it's important to have trust with your brother, because they will always be their for you.

Wow that really isn't fair its not your fault you have tick and I know what you mean about acting like if you are guilty, because they have accused me many times to the point that if they show up I start getting nervous thinking that they might misinterpret what ever it is I'm doing at the time and then the situation will worsen.

SO your not alone =)

I'm not giving up, because I know who I am.

WOW, thanks for telling me your story. I've shown evidence, but whats ironic is that what I'm being accused off can be easily hidden. So they just think I've gotten rid of the evidence.

I've been thinking a lot about this lately and I don't care what is they are accusing me off anymore, because I can't change anything they said and its done, I'm just really upset that I lost a one of the most important people in life. I talked to someone about this and they said that all I can do know  is to be their for this person and try to get their trust back even if I'm innocent.

Thanks it means a lot =)

Me too. My brother sometimes accuses me of things that I never did or never had the intention of doing. When I try to explain to him he either stops me or refuses to believe me. Sometimes convincing him doesn't help at all. Most people will believe you if you send evidence, but not my brother. My mom also has a similar mindset.

As a child, I was always being accused of things that weren't true.  I have a horrible tic, though, which made it impossible to convince them.  My problem is the instant I realize someone thinks I'm lying, I start acting as if I'm lying.......like grinning and acting suspiciously.  I can't control it, so no one ever believes me.  It hasn't happened as much as I've grown older, but I don't live with jerks anymore, so that helps.  My doc doesn't believe me about the MD, but because I don't see him for that, I really don't care what he thinks about it.  I wish I had a solution for you.  Good luck.
