This is linked with my other posts about affirmations to stop daydremaing

So when you are saying the affirmation people suggest to believe that it is already working and happening however you always don't feel like that, for exmaple  when you're trying to believe everything is okay when it really isn't,

.The researchers suggest that, positive praise and affirmations, such as “I am a lovable person” was incongruent with the mindset of those with low self-esteem... this led to feelings of conflict and just feeling bad... which then led to more negative thoughts about themselves. So if positive affirmations don’t work, then what does?

what huffington post suggests is to: go neutral.

Instead of: “Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.”
Try: “I have had better days, but I have also had worse. Today I am OK.”

SO instead of saying "I will not excessively daydream"

say "at times i excessively daydream but at times i have a better days.today i am okay " or

Be honest "I am sad I spend all of my time excessively daydreaming but I am learning to keep pup with reality and makes my dreams come true in the real world" (something like that)
