This is beyond frightening

I didn't know that this... all of this existed until a few days ago. I actually found out about it through a tag in a blog post. I've been epic daydreaming for as long as I can remember. I jog/run when I do and have injured myself multiple times including a broken toe. I honestly thought I was alone in this.

But things are obviously different than we thought, aren't they?

I found out about this not too long ago also. It actually freaked me out for a while (couple of weeks). I couldn't even daydream because every time I started I kept hearing "Maladaptive Day Dreaming" in my head over and over again. Eventually it went back to normal and now I feel like I can maybe start confronting it by using this anonymous site. I guess I'm part of something I never even knew about.

For some reason I seem to have a different repetitive movement every time I daydream. A few ones keep repeating themselves, though. Sometimes I pace, sometimes I snap my fingers, sometimes I drum on a table, etc. Sometimes I do the opposite and just sit very, very, very still. Once I kept slapping myself in the face over and over without realizing it because that was my repetitive movement! O_O I wish I was joking about that one. It was in the middle of class, too.

I'm slowly getting used to the fact that it has a name but I am glad that there are answers here.

I was scared when I first found out, too. But at least I had finally found the answers to questions that had been plaguing me my whole life.
