Preview of my novel- Edited Prologue

Prolouge:“ Kindness is the lanuague which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”-Mark Twain
Woosh! The room was rather in a puzzling state and I for all I could do was stare in an awe-struck trance at the glowing and shining of the lights. I had just simply pranced in to find a cascade of ruby, turquoise, and gold circles flying around the room. The way the lights circled around the room was in a random non-particular way that just flopped around everywhere. Never once had I seen a sight such as this before. I turned my head around searching and turning for a hint, of what could possibly be the reason for this odd light show. I sprung in a three hundred and sixty degree turn trying to figure out what was happening. Then all of sudden the room seemed to lose its' air for reasons I couldn't conjure up. I spot a machine on the ground, this must be the cause. I grab one of the handles, and in the middle was some blue liquid that is glowing when I grab the machine. I feel my head go quite dizzy and nauseous for no reason. My head bangs around with loud pulsing booms. I collapse on the floor and look up to see the bright lights flashing right around me in a more circular like fashion. I find myself right there in the middle of the floor. I balance myself up on my elbows watching the lights swirl in a funnel like way. Out of no where, the air feels heavier and thicker oddly. I stare in confusion and try to get up, but for some reason I can't. My legs won't move, bend or even shake. I struggle tremendously to get up, but I fear I can't. The air gets muggier and cloudy like I'm in a mucky swamp. It builds up and up while the lights fling around the room like a jealous heard of dancers trying to conceive their special solo. I start coughing from the lost of carbon dioxide in the room's atmosphere. Even thought the air seemed to vanish my clothes flop and flip around rather swiftly. It intrigues my brain how this was possible with a lack of air, but I felt a tad too off balance to concentrate my brain with novel epiphanies. The lights spin faster letting off a motor cycle revving sound. I watch as the lights divide in to smaller more diverse circles around the room. Violet, lime, neon yellow, maroon, spin around my body as if this is some kind of a frolic. Then the room got vague and I no longer could see the lights or myself. I still heard the revving sound, but it gradually stops to a low hum. After a minute I figure things are alright til the hum turns to a shrieking whistle and all of my seldom vision and senses I had left became nothing.

It's a time travel machine, she's heading to the year twenty twelve. ^_^ None of my characters have super powers, or are ghosts.
