So, I know it's pretty typical for MDers to have music be a trigger for them, in fact it seems that the greater part of the majority is this way. Today I was listening to some good ol' tunes while daydreaming and it got me thinking about how the music is used. See, this is kind of embarrassing as I don't know how it triggers you guys but, for me, my characters usually are singing the songs themselves. Not like it's HighSchoolMusical Revised or anything, but most of them play in the band, or just chill on the couch practicing some of the more acoustic songs. It's a lot less dorky in my brain, I swear! Also, if I'm listening to classical songs, obviously they aren't singing/playing (with the exception of violin songs, as one of my girls is quite good at violin), and those songs provoide a more mood setting atmosphere. So just wondering, is music just a background filter for you guys, or is it a more active role as it is for me?

Yup, I do both! One of my characters is German, so I listen to German songs (specifically Melotron) while daydreaming him singing, usually at a karaoke bar. And my characters are sometimes in bands and go to clubs with music used for background noise. But most of the time, the music makes my DDs look like movie trailers, where I focus on timing a bunch of random scenes put together. I can make some pretty epic trailers in my head. xD

Hmm, it is a background filer sometimes or relates to the scene very well. Although I have a similar thing where my charter will sing the songs or other charter. Classical music, I usually imagine them playing an instrument.
