Thankx.i allready tried a few,got some success....but i dont wanna go back to that consciously daydreaming part....... N all men arent that reserved...!!!!! There r tons of men around us who are allways complaing about everything and anything.no one wants to be like them.anyway........ Tell me about how you study. And did daydreaming an hour everyday helped?

Welcome to Wild Minds  albab ahmed!!!! =D

Were pretty much close in age, I'm gonna be 19 in a couple of weeks. Like you and many of us here, we all started daydreaming at a young age (5-7 yrs old average), some later.  My Md started becoming very bad last year and started interupting my school work and study times greatly! =O

I couldnt sit down for more than five minutes without zoning off. So, my best advice for you would be to breathe. Yes, thats right BREATHE. Take a few minutes to relax and unwind, looks like your stressing out, and I dont know about you but when I stress out my MD gets out of control too! So, try to take a break.

My second advice would be try to break your work into smaller pieces, instead of looking at the thing like you have to study chapters this through this, try looking at it like I'' study page this and this then a break, then again page this and this and a break. Little steps at a time, set up a timer, work 20 mins then break 20 mins then again.

Another thing you can do is drink coffee. Although some may consider it a drug, I think its very very helpful during studying periods. When I study coffee is the only thing that an keep my mind focused on the books rather than in my imagination.

Then my last advice for you would be just too daydream. Sounds ironic but I learned that the harder i try to fight my urge to daydream, the less productive I am because my mind will force me into daydreaming and i will start to get very agitated and anxious if I dont. Sooo, give it 30mins-1hr to really daydream and then when your feeling a little better go study.

And also look at your environement, switch around a bit. You'll be suprised how moving from your bed to the kitchen table can sort of get you in the zone. As for your last question: I dunno. =/ I wont say there is an equal amount because I really dont know but from what I've seen on this site, there seems to be an equal amount of males and females. That you may sometimes see more posts with girl names doesnt mean there isnt alot of boys too. Afterall, guys seem to be a little bit more reserved when it comes to talking about themselves on blogs so, we cant really say there are more girls based on blog posts and comments.
