I came aross this thought today. Do you think DD is acting or reacting?

Because, the stories we come up with may be actions at first, but once we develop the characters and face different situations, is it still acting or does it turn into reacting (even though basically, it remains acting in a way).

Just a thought...

I think it's both for me too, J Noland.

I think a triger for my DD is when I'm in trouble, or when I find it hard to do something or just whatever, like when you need a hand opening the door because your hands are full, you know. Such everyday things. And then I get that help from 'my DD friends' if there is no one arround.

Oops, looks like I'm moving away from the main topic :/ sorry.

Anyway. I'd like to give an example of acting and reacting in my DD but I guess I can't find one for either of them right now.. I'll come back when I think of something.

You know, I'm going to have to think about that.  When I'm kind of bored, are my DD's also kind of flat?  I'm not sure.  I'm going to have to pay attention.

Good point. It's definitely both for me. Sometimes I use the dds to cope with something during the day. To lose myself after a bad day or feel angry after an argument or something like that. Other times I just want to go visit the people or places I've dreamed up. I never know if I'm going to just replay scenes that I've already created or if something new will happen. Lately I've only been in the mini dds that happen while driving or randomly through the day. I'd like to get involved in a deep dd but it's kind of like that feeling when you want to watch tv but there's nothing good on. Maybe something needs to happen in real life that I need to react to.
