How Much of Your Daydream Do You Control?

I tend to not have any control over most of my daydreams. As in I have no input. They sort of just play themselves out like a little movie in my head. Most of the time it clouds over my vision and I'm thrown into my dream world. Sometimes I'm part of the dream and sometimes I'm just watching. But whether or not I'm a character in the dream doesn't seem to give me any control over what is happening in the dream. Everyone I've spoken to that daydreams says that this hasn't happened to them and I was just wondering if this is a common occurrence? Or at least if there are others that have experienced this and would like to shed some light on this situation.

I can control some of my daydreams. But many times, daydreams just pop into my head, such as in the middle of studying, and it takes much effort to get them out. I have moments where out of the blue, random images appear in my head even though I'm not thinking about them.

I usually have little control, it just plays.

Most times my daydreams just flow without me having much input. Like a random "scene" pops into my head and the story just follows.

Sometimes i have complete control over what happens, what they say, what i say, should i rewind and redo that scene, etc.

Other times, like when i first wake up, i have no say at all! Something just pops in my head and i cannot for the life of me get it out! but i have noticed when that happens it's usually about sex lol.
