Hello, I have daydreams for 20 years, I need help, I don't know what to do, I can't control it and when I try to stop it feels like my head is going to explode and I get very anxious.

Might I suggest you see a psychiatrist. My mom strongly recommended this. I never did see a doctor, because I did all the work at stopping MD on my own.

I was a daydreamer for over 20 years myself. But didn't ever suffer exploding head syndrome when I stopped. I used to MD so excessively, it took my attention away from my whereabouts, and life activities, so I began to get anxious and flip out, especially if I had to make it to interviews, jobs and meetups. My head just wasn't there, when I should've been here. I could relate to your problem, I'd sit in a long car ride, go shopping or head to class, and my head was so thick with detailed fantasies, impacted with sound effects, that my head was overflowing with too many thoughts. To an extent, my head would feel like it's bursting. But when I quit dreaming, my head feels cleared or drained out, rather.
