feeling out of place and time

Have you ever felt you were born in the wrong time? Seem to relate more to movies or stories from a certain time period. Or is it just feeling you don't quite fit, regardless of why. I have always felt that way. Like you are playing a part while you wait to go back to real life but you are stuck in the play.

Comment by J Noland on December 7, 2011 at 7:45pm: I've had plenty of dds about being in other times. I even told a therapist when I was a teenager that I was born in the wrong era. Really modern medicine and sanitary practices are the main reasons I like living in the present! I'm a huge fan of history and archeology, I would love to see what it was like in Roman times, medieval times, the French revolution. I do feel like I live in a parallel kind of universe. I am home alone with my worlds then I have to venture out to the "real" world to work and shop. Sometimes I have a weird ghostly feeling like I'm just not really there. It's so nice to have other people who "get" it!

Comment by Wish Upon A Wish on December 4, 2011 at 7:55pm: I wouldn't ever want to live there, but if I could, I'd kind of like to visit the Victorian era (I know, they've done some cruel stuff there, but still...) and maybe, if I could at least speak some language, visit the old Cro Magnons and maybe even the Neanderthols, if I liked the Cro Magnons enough.

And I know what encouraged me to want to see them if I could. Emilie Autumn for the first, and Jean M. Auel books for the second haha. I often feel weird though around some of the really new technology, but that could just be my disliking it.
