Is it possible? I was thinking, that maybe since we spend so much time daydreaming, do you think when we actually have to face the real world, could we become depressed as we realize what a scary world this actually is?

yes it does. I read an article about daydreaming and it said that people who daydream allot are more depressed. That even after a happy daydream people get sad about 10 minutes after. So the more time spent in a daydream the more after sadness.
