I have been diagnosed with panic disorder. I discribed my doc what i was going through and told her about my mdd. She prescribed me olepra and zoloft. I have been calm since than but today again i started to get scared. I thought i was losing touch with reality and beliveing my daydreams to be true. This is so confusing. Am i actually psychotic? Has anyone over here experienced this? Please do respond..

Sadly, I do have personal experience with this. I had one very long point in my life where I believed my daydreams to be a reality, and because I did and still do daydream about more negative things, I thought I had hurt countless people in the past. If you feel like you’re beginning to lose touch with reality, try using some grounding techniques, and if you don’t know any, ask your doctor or look some up. Regardless of whether or not that works, let her know about your concern (trust me, if you keep quiet about this kind of thing, the results will usually be bad).

And as someone who has experienced psychosis in the past, I think I would need to know a little more about your situation to help you more. If this is still going on (being that I’m writing this in July) tell me everything you’re comfortable saying. I’m not a professional, but I do know that there is a difference between delusions and actual psychosis. So as long as you don’t start seeing and/or hearing things, having homicidal ideation, etc. I think you’re okay. Just let me know. I’m here for you.

Hey- I have no experience with this. I've never gotten a diagnosis, so no medications, but I really feel for you. Please share this with your dr. if you haven't already. Sounds like a really scary experience.
